Our laboratory was set up in 2004 and is divided into two departments:
A laboratory to carry out pesticide residue tests on fruit, vegetables and salad stuffs
This department was awarded UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard certification in 2005. It runs approved testing for 17 types of fruit, vegetables and salad stuffs and examines over 170 pesticides as part of the comprehensive service it provides for our members and partners.
A post-harvest laboratory
This department carries out testing to monitor the post-harvest process, and carries out microbiological trials such as the isolation and identification of pathogens, checking hygiene in packing houses and pathogen resistance tests.
The laboratory is equipped with testing devices for cold storage, kaki de-astringency, citrus degreening, curing treatments and forced air pre-cooling. It also has all the laboratory equipment required to carry out its R&D projects.
